Lil’
Dragons Ages
4-6
The purpose and main focus of the Lil' Dragons curriculum is to
prepare young children to enter the Junior Kids program. The Lil'
Dragons curriculum consists of the junior programs early level
curriculum along with drills and exercises designed to aid the
student's development of concentration skills and self-control.
The program will take most students one year to complete. At the
end of the course, the student will be prepared to enter the
Junior Kids program |

Junior Kids
Program Ages 7-12
Our Junior Kids program focuses on building self-esteem and self
confidence in children. We make it fun so students want to train!
At Bill Brown Karate we believe that martial arts is one part of a
complete education. That means we stress academic achievement,
social development, and leadership ability along with physical
training. |

Teen and Adult
Program
Bill Brown Karate incorporates a combination of techniques and
principles from a variety of Martial Arts styles including Karate,
Ju Jitsu, Tae Kwon Do, Kick Boxing and weapons all of which
provide our students with a well-balanced, "street smart"
self-defense system. Most other styles of martial arts tend to
focus on just individual areas of self-defense. Combining the best
of many styles into a blended system gives Bill Brown Karate
students the advantage they need to protect themselves in
virtually any situation. |

Bill Brown Karate incorporates a
combination of techniques found in four effective disciplines: Karate,
Tae Kwon Do, Kickboxing, Submission Grappling and MMA to provide
students with a realistic personal protection system for a modern
world. |

Karate is a traditional martial art
that instills discipline, respect, focus and other character building
traditional values as well as teaching the student the fundamental
blocking and striking techniques of self protection. Karate as a
means of self-defense has the oldest history, going back hundreds of
years. It is only in recent years that the techniques which have been
handed down were scientifically studied and the principles evolved for
making the most effective use of the various moves of the body.
Training based on these principles and knowledge of the working of the
muscles and the joints and the vital relation between movement and
balance enable the modern student of Karate to be prepared, both
physically and psychologically, to defend himself successfully against
any would-be assailant. |

Knowing that self protection and
fighting are totally different situations, our Kickboxing teaches our
students techniques used in all ranges of realistic stand up fighting
while getting them in the best shape of their lives. |

Chung Do Kwan Tae Kwon Do is a
traditonal (non sport-oriented) martial art from Korea. It is quite
similiar to Japanese Shotokan, combining its intensity, power, and
clean technique with more of an emphasis on kicking. Techniques are
kept simple and versatile, focusing mostly on speed and power
generation. Beginning in early times, Chung Do Kwan technique and
philosophy centered around mastering basics, developing powerful
technique, pinpoint accuracy in application, strong kicking, and deep
appreciation for manners and etiquette. Its trademark techniques are
the side kick, jumping side kick, and sliding side kick although it
practices many other techniques as well-all in accordance with Chung
Do Kwan principles. |

Submission Grappling teaches our
students how to defend ourselves in the event that we are taken to the
ground in an altercation. Through learning throws, joint locks, and
submission holds students will be better able to defend themselves
while standing up in close range or in the event they are on the
ground.

Our Mixed Martial Arts training offers
curriculums for all interested in martial arts and combat sports
training. For those interested in competitive types of martial arts we
offer Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Grappling and Kickboxing. These are offered
separately or as a full combination for those interested in Mixed
Martial Arts or No Holds Barred Fighting.
By combining these realistic and effective systems of the martial arts
a student will be better able to defend themselves in any situation
they may conceivably find themselves. Where most systems of martial
arts focus mainly on one area of techniques, our mixed martial arts
approach allows us to train a well rounded student of self protection.
